Joe snorted. “Ssso you remember me sssaying there was a cafe at the top but not that we needed to wear harness?” “C’mon Joe, we’re burning daylight.” Pinstripe called down to him, already shimmying up the next section of cliff. Joe quickly screwed the cap on the water bottle. “No fair! You have a head sssstart!” The two of them reached the ridge nearly at the same time. Pinstripe was a faster sprinter but had tired as they neared the top, letting Joe, with his patience and greater stamina, close the lead.
